When the Christian religion of the New Testament was written?

asked:

Wouldn’t it have been better to have scrapped the old Jewish bible all together and disassociated the Christian religion from them? They certainly would have had less trouble trying to cover up and make excuses for them if they had.

Absolutely not. The Old Testament was a testament and witness to the coming of Jesus Christ. I still love my Jewish brothers and many of them are coming into the faith…

It is apparent you are unfamiliar with the Jewish and Christian faiths.
They are one and the same.
Christianity is not a different religion.
A person who “converts” to Christianity is actually coverting to Judaism.

“Christian” is a term for a Jew or a converted Gentile who believes that Yeshua haMeshiach (Jesus Christ) is the Jewish Messiah foretold to come by Moses and the prophets. The Jews that do not believe in Jesus are vastly in the minority.

The Old Testament is a necessary part of Christianity. Most people seem to forget that Jesus was a Jew that was teaching from the Tanakh (Old Testament). The books of the New Testament were not written for another 40 -50 years. +?+.

If they don’t have the old testament they can’t claim the prophecy of jesus’s coming. Christianity is just a spin off of judaism because someone didn’t like the jewish laws. So they decided to make there own religion. Until the printing press very few people had bibles and just listen to there pastor/priest. They did not realize when it was written originally that people would be able to own there very own copy and analyze every detail. so they did not care about the idiocrisies.

That’s the Bible that they give you when you go to prison, the New Testament and the Psalms and the Proverbs
