What if you died today and you were wrong?

Tim N asked:

Non-fascist Atheist: If you died today and you were wrong, would it be worth the eternity spent in hell? What is it about the atheist religion of non-belief which is better than the christian religion of belief?

If a non-fascist chrisitian died today and they were wrong about the existance of God, what would happen to their soul or energy?

If a non-fascist christian died today, they would have led a compassionate and caring life. Would a non-fascist atheist?

Can this be discussed without anger and vehemenance?
If not don’t reply. Fascists who respond with anger and erroneus emotion please just go on to the next question. Your argument is irrational and you just embarass yourself. I am looking for a belief pattern to analyze how non-fascist christian and non-fascist atheists think.
The follow up question would be: If you were wrong, would you want to know before that appointed time?

Oh and five o clock, I congratulate you on your extensive knowledge at the age of 12, you must have been a boon to your parents.

    I,m a Christian,if I am wrong I have lost nothing,but if I,m
right I have won everything and lost nothing.

That’s my point. If I’m wrong, then so what? If I chose not to follow God, then Hell seems a little hot, even for me. They will say “This argument doesn’t work.” I agree completely with you.

    Pascal’s Wager alert AGAIN…lets’ drink!

What if you died today and you discovered you had placed your belief in the wrong God…one of those other Gods you yourself rejected just like all atheists reject Gods.

I have to add that your level of thinking here is about what mine was age 11-12yrs old.

No anger or “erroneus emotion” (great phrase). Just a plea that you use the words “Pascal’s wager” so all the boozehounds can take a drink.

Yes. It would be worth it to have lived an honest life.

    I cannot fake belief.

It is far better to live a life grounded in reality than to believe a non-verifiable story.

What if the “non-fascist Christian” finds not *nothingness*, but Allah, angry because you never confessed that Allah is the only god and Mohamed is his prophet? Would it have been worth living the life the “non-fascist Christian” felt was right and honest, even if Islam turned out to be the one true faith?

There are more choices than just “my god” or “nothing”, you know.

well, if a non-facist Aethist died and figured out he was wrong and they lived a good life, according to Dante, they would be placed in Limbo, no torture, but no hope of going to heaven.

If a non-fachist christian died and figured out he was wrong. It can be arguably be conceived that he would not have a soul that can be redeemed. So he would just probably rot. If I am totally off and Aethists do believe that there is a soul, maybe it goes to the underworld, you know like greek mythology, and just sits there swirling for all enternity

I’d rather party in hell than spend eternity with some AH in heaven I had to live next door to while I was alive. Human misery cannot get any worse than what is received while alive. Christians deliver misery everywhere they go as missionaries.

    IF they were wrong?

That depends on what kinf of God we are talking about. The Christian God would torture them for an eternity.
    Allah would understand and forgive.

if i were wrong, i wont feel anything cause basically im a non-living matter. if an atheist is wrong they’ll be regretting and probably be suffering on hell

I can not force myself to believe in a God that would burn people for not worshiping it a certain way. We all make mistakes but any God I would ever believe in would judge based on the overall message of the person’s life and their efforts to live positively and efforts to overcome mistakes. That being said I find no evidence or reason to believe in such a supernatural force, so believing in it for me is at this point like believing in little green men on Mars or the like. If there were a God and it was important to them I believe I’m sure they would have no problem getting me to and I doubt they would need humans quoting scripture and threatening hell to get the job done. I looked deeply at Christianity and for me it didn’t add up or jibe with reality. There are other religions with just as sure believers out there and just as much or little proof. What if you are wrong about them?

Believe as you will if it makes sense to you and brings you peace and happiness. Don’t insist your way is right for all. My life makes sense for me and brings me happiness.

The thing is that when you die you will find that you were wrong and you will then be just dead and nothing else.

Dead nothing more no heaven or hell nothing at all. To die is just that and there is nothing more for you at all. We all will die one day so today there will be a lot of people die as there are every day. Over six billion people so do have any idea how many thousands die every day of the year.

They are dead just as you will be.

What if I was with a congregation or multitude of people who all believed near
to the same thing and they were all wrong?

What if I am a bible student, seeking desperately to know all the facts it has to offer, if I do my home work properly and neatly, could I have Jesus the great teacher grade my work, and could he allow me to correct any area that I would need to correct?
    I would want to be right as the majority of the world for about 5677 years before the world had the bible have to know it as good as I do before they can be judged and if they refuse to know it, then they have judged themselves to be unworthy John 12:47,48; The worthy will know, any LOST will have self to blame, not any worthy neighbor, not God and not Christ Jesus. John 3:16; 17:3;

YESHUA is my Savior! if i died tomorrow or today
and HE didn’t exist, i would be dead. i wouldn’t know HE
wasn’t real. i would just be dead. but the LORD said the
end times would be like this. Read 2 Peter 3.

If I was wrong, then there is nothing..it makes no difference. The fact that I had existence, that I felt the love and glory of God. That his word gave me comfort and I felt joy in my life. That he inspired me to be better than I was. SO what would be the loss. How would I be wrong. I am right, for me, in either case.

Paul, the Apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ, said that if Christ had not risen, our faith would be vain. Christ has risen and though our faith is tested to the max, it is not in vain. Unbelief is pandemic. The whole world is covered in unbelief. I don’t **** atheists. I don’t denigrate atheists. Unless the light of the glorious gospel penetrates those unbelieving hearts, they will continue in their unbelief. In that state the gospel of Jesus Christ is silly, foolishness. To us the gospel of Jesus Christ is the power (dynamite) of God. Nowhere in scripture is it alright to denigrate sinners and atheists. But by the grace of God go I. However the Lord says that the fool has said in his heart there is no God. Notice, the fool or atheist has said IN HIS HEART. So he believes there is no God. Now that is truly foolish if he would stop and think. So, how in the world do we preach the truth to him if we call him ugly names and treat him like a moron? The atheist position is truly stupid and it takes a little bit of gentleness and truth to turn the light on in his heart. Now the rabid haters of God, don’t even argue with them. I’m talking about atheists with good hearts down deep, the kind that God saves despite themselves. I once was blind but now I see.

Well, I am not sure I am a fascist or not, but being a Christian if I die and I am wrong it will be too late to worry about it as Ceasar said “the die is cast…”

If Athiest’s are right I have neither gained nor lost anything. Because there is nothing it really does not matter how you live. Heck even bettering mankind is a subjective thought. Who cares? You will be dead and will not know or care that you are imortalized in some fashion.

As to other beliefs look to them and see what they say happens to my soul or energy.

Good thing I am right huh? (you know you will get this answer a lot right?)

I would have had a wonderful life. I would have loved well, treated others as I want to have been treated, and I would have spent over 26 years teaching children how to read, how to do Math, and most importantly, to love themselves and others.

    Life is precious.
