How do you feel about “Jesus” day in Texas?
Mr. Nobody asked:
I think that it is insulting to anyone who lives in Texas who isn’t Chrisitian and that it should be abolished.

Agreed, but Jesus day is in many states and cities in the US, some before Bush instated it in Texas.

I can’t wait to celebrate.
Do we get to bathe in blood that day, or do we run roughshod through churches beating up the offering collectors?
I guess the immigrant problem is bigger than I thought, Jesus day? When is Javier day?

How insulting would it be for me for instance – being canadian – that they celebrate the 4th of July when I lived there? Your question is silly. The United States IS a christian born country. If you do not accept that, maybe you should move to Syria or somewhere else.

If we have Jesus day then we should have Buddha day, Hare Krishna day, Mohammad day and so on down to every religious figure. Government should leave religion out in order to be fair to all citizens of this Country. I am so tired of the religious right shoving their beliefs down everyone’s throat. I am agnostic somewhat so we should have Agnostic day and Atheist day, Enough said.

I don’t see the harm in it, really. Yeah yeah you can complain about separation of church and state, and you can speculate as to whether or not Jesus was a real person. But we have Martin Luther King Day, we have President’s Day, we have Veterans Day. Why not celebrate such an.. influential person with a holiday? I mean, I’m no Christian. But I wouldn’t be opposed to a Siddhartha Gautama (Buddha) day either, nor would I be opposed to a Lao Tzu Day.

I think it would be a much better World if people who call themselves Christians would actually listen to Jesus once in a while.
I’ve heard that Jesus walks among us. And you can recognize Him by the way he goes around smacking himself in the forehead and yelling, “LOVE YE ONE ANOTHER! How hard a concept is THAT?”
Edit: Maybe real Christians and non-Christians should use the day to throw the 25th Chapter of Matthew up to the Bible Bangers.

I don’t live in Texas and I’ve never heard of Jesus Day. How creepy. I’d be curious to see what the U.S. Supreme Court had to say about it.

So go get a governor to sign a anti chriustian day for you.
Oh wait that is what the ACLU declares the rest of the year!

I don’t think it’s anymore insulting than any other “specialty” day. I mean we have *** Days and I’m all for them, so it’d be pretty hypocritical for me to tell anyone else they couldn’t have a day.

As long as it isn’t condoned by the government there shouldn’t be any problem with it….
