What makes you feel that Christianity is not a believable religion?
. asked:
What makes you feel that Christianity is not a believable religion?
If you believe in a god but are not Christian, what makes Christianity difficult to believe, or what about Christianity don’t you like?

For starters, a complete lack of any credible evidence to support their claims. There’s also the fact that pretty much all of their fairy tales originated elsewhere hundreds or thousands of year before the creation of the christian mind control cult.
Take their central character, for example. Jesus is nothing more than a character in a fairy tale, an amalgamation of many much older myths.

Christianity is a childish religion with a silly book of fairy tales. Nothing about it is remotely believable.

Just about everything in it was stolen from ancient mythology. Just for starters.

It’s nothing to do with ‘feeling’ feelings are highly unreliable so I look for logic, reason or evidence. Christianity fails each test as do all other religions.

easy question, god did violence, god is invisible in the bible, they make him a person who has a high ego and isn’t humble, who makes a list of rules that contradict himself, and he needs ‘blood’ such as animal sacrifice and Jesus blood.The bible has to many fantasy stories, dreams, and visions.

since it has so many followers, it’s potential believability is not in question to me…it just isn’t that believable to me, personally.

In a word: “history”.
Crucifixions were not allowed to be removed from crosses. They were left up there to rot as an added insult after death showing that it was not a good idea to go against the Romans. If Jesus was never buried how did he rise up from the grave that he was never put in? Also, it wasn’t until 325 C.E. that it was decided by a COMMITTEE that Jesus was divine, i.e., God. I don’t think God would need a committee to decide that. Further, according to the prophecies Jesus didn’t fulfill about 28 of what was foretold. The “messiah” was supposed to be the “warrior king” who would liberate Israel from Roman occupation – Jesus did NOT do that, therefore he could NOT have been the “messiah” – a word with a meaning that has changed over time to be something completely different than what it used to represent. There is a lot more but that is enough.

Something about a woman getting pregnant while still a virgin, a guy coming back to life after dieing then flying, a all knowing thing that made the whole universe and knows all and does all.

For the past maybe 25 years, I have been looking out for Sharon Green’s “Jalav” Sci-Fi series, of which I read just the first two in the 1980s, then couldn’t find anywhere.
Its about this improbable Noble Savage Amazon general, Jalav, who gets sent by her living goddess, Mida, on a quest to gather all the Amazon Tribes, and a masculine Warrior Tribe belonging to her companion god (they don’t get along) to battle Alien Humans who want to come and impose “Civilization” on them. I recently found them on the Internet (I had no choice, Ms. Green! please don’t send an amazon to assassinate me!) Enduring two novels jam packed with gratuitous torture and bondage- which I most skipped, because I **** that when the heroine doesn’t cleverly escape after the first two hours, using her tormentor’s guts to repair her boots- finally, I get to the last novel and the denouement- which I haven’t finished yet. But there comes a major plot twist that clears up lots of confusion and “What was the author thinking!” The gods are fake! (Well, *DUH!*)
It appears that some hi-tech Aliens hijacked their religion and were using and abusing the Savages to their own wicked ends. (I am 87% finished.)
Carlos Castaneda has shown us that the Spiritual Sentients the Los Nuevos Videntes (The New Seers) call the Los Voladores (The Flyers) have a parasitic vampiric stranglehold on all of Mankind, and were the creators of ALL of our Religions. Any Christian would add a defiant “-except Christianity!” to that, but the fact is that Christianity knows absolutely nothing about The devils and their motives. Why do they do what they do? “They’re Evil!” is a very good answer- for seven-year olds!
Now we know that they have a power-tap installed in the Crown Chakra of every Human being born on this Planet. (There are 600 other Planets that support Human life. This is the only one that has shadows.) This port sends a root system through our entire bodies, and drains our life energies to 1% what they should be, so that we are barely alive. This accounts for why it is so easy to kill us. Some of us will literally die, if someone hollers “BOO!” suddenly enough.
What makes Christianity better than other religions?
There is a lot of Big Talk, but very little to back it up.
. PROVERBS:26:24-28.
24. He that hateth dissembleth with his lips,
and layeth up deceit within him;
25. When he speaketh fair, believe him not:
for there are seven abominations in his heart.
26. Whose hatred is covered by deceit,
his wickedness shall be shewed
before the whole Congregation.
27. Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein:
and he that rolleth a stone, it will return upon him.
28. A lying tongue hateth those that are afflicted by it;
and a flattering mouth worketh ruin.
Nice sophoric effects- beautiful “PEACE” sensations- which could be accounted for by OUR LIFE ENERGY BEING DRAINED. Sophistric Doctrines but NO REAL INTEL. Carlos Castaneda’s vision can be verified with Scripture- but this was never spelled out to us in any of the best Christian Vision experiences of any Century. If we were taught to use ESP as proficiently as Los Nuevos Videntes, we would learn everything very quickly.
Carlos Castaneda was shown how even obvious things like “How to move your Spirit Body” were withheld from him by his supposed “Spirit Friends.” That they only want us to know what will keep us under their control, and deprive us of what will take us out of their control. (*DUH!*)
What are Yahweh God and Jesus doing? People literally lay down their lives for them, and what do they get in return?
W need an independent inquiry into what The Bible God and supposed Messiah are hiding.
