Would it be socially inappropriate to build a Christian Church in Salem, Mass?
Gods bless the USA asked:
Since we can’t build a mosque near the World Trade Center, should we ban any Christians Churches from sites of Christian atrocities as well, like the Salem Witch hunts?

Why do “progressives” have to go back to the 1700′s to find examples
perhaps you should call yourself “regressive”

Don’t believe me? Look up DARFUR- The Muslims are killing ALL THE BLACK AFRICAN CHRISTIANS- ITS CALLED GENOCIDE.
GENOCIDE
JIHAD 100 YR Plan- is take over and make everyone Muslim- or kill them.
The SPY- who knew Al Qaeda and Taliban and Radical Muslim faith for his entire life wrote a book about it- JIHAD MOVEMENT – in the 80s. So I guess their agenda has 70 more years to gain control of the world.

Better yet,why not build a Church on the site of the Oklahoma federal building?Mcveigh identified himself as Christian after all.
But wait…the Conservatives say,Mcveigh was a Radical.
Hurp de durp..what the heck you think Al-qaeda members are then, the typical Muslim?
don’t answer that conservatives, the answer may be more stupid than I can bear.

I was a bit fired up about the Mosque at first, but I’m kind of unconcerned now. Though that’s not a very good example.

We should get rid of all the christian churches on the Trail of Tears for Christians committing genocide.

Salem makes tons of money off their witchy history. You wouldn’t want to interfere in the profits would you?

Who said you can’t build a mosque at or near Ground Zero? Seriously Einstein, who is saying that? Some people are saying it is “inappropriate” to build a mosque at or near Ground Zero, and I agree with those people, but no one is saying you cant do it. Get it yet? Youve had months to understand this.
Salem Mass.? Another bad comparison. What is appropriate or inappropriate is simply determined by the community. The community living today, in todays world. So if Salem were populated with many people who are very sensitive about the witch burnings that happened a century ago, then, and only then would your comparison have any relevance.
Can we work on your comparisons? Im happy to help.

Enough with the Mosque issue.
Civilized American that believe in freedom of religion are disgusted to see this issue be raised and fanned for political purposes. The politicians that used the situation for their own grandstanding should be ashamed, hopefully the electorate sends that message.
Those that took the opportunity to advance religious intolerance need to take a good hard look at the Constitution and take a history class.

Well, is Salem full of witches who will be offended? Here’s an idea: Why don’t you add a little intelligence to your questions, they can’t get much stupider.

Completely inappropriate. It would also be inappropriate to build a Christian church in the Olympic Park vicinity of Atlanta where a Christian terrorist set off a bomb because he was pro life.
