Non-Denominational, because the teachings are strictly based on what is directly said in the Bible, and not on traditions which have been passed down. This means that whatever is being taught is true beyond a shadow of a doubt.

I belong to a Methodist church. I don’t go as often as I should. I like it because i appreciate Wesleyan theology….and because the minister is a guy I really have a lot of respect for. Other than that I have my own little church on the river every weekend with my fishing pole.

The other Christian churches ideas are just as valid as mine.

    Jehovah’s Christian Witnesses.

    They really Love God.

They teach the Truth from The Bible.

Jesus Christ was a Jehovah’s Witness.

I attend an United Pentecostal Church. and for many reasons. First off the people there have to be some of the nicest people i have ever met. second the services are moving… every one of them. The music is upbeat, The preaching is dynamic. I have seen miracle, after miracle performed. i have felt God totally move within the service. Also what they teach is directly from the Bible. No fillers, no taking away from.

False doctrine and watered-down gospel is preached in church buildings. In fact, a building for a church is false doctrine. People are the church. Heed the word:

However, the Most High does not dwell in temples made with hands, as the prophet says: “Heaven is My throne, and earth is My footstool. What house will you build for me? says the Lord, or what is the place of My rest? Has My hand not made all these things?” – Acts 7:48-50.

The word for “church” in Scripture is ekklesia. It means:

    1) a gathering of citizens called out from their homes into some public place, an assembly (that’s like the basic meaning people use, but there is more to this word)
    a) an assembly of the people convened at the public place of the council for the purpose of deliberating (except for the council part, that is what we are doing in discussion groups and this YA thing, deliberating)
    c) any gathering or throng of men asembled by chance (that is not a formal gathering, it is by chance that one comes up on). I even preach on the street and by chance I happen to meet up and preach with other street preachers.
    d) in a Christian sense (now here are the better definitions)
    1) an assembly of Christians gathered for worship in a religious meeting (yeah, I still do that sometimes, but going to a church building is only good for the young Christians to keep people out of trouble if they are devoted and go there as often as they can. But for Christians who have been saved for 20 years we get tired of hearing false doctrine and watered-down gospel and it is time to evangelize instead of being pew warmers, or meet in our homes)
    4) the whole body of Christians scattered throughout the earth
    5) the assembly of faithful Christians already dead…

The church is the people, the body of Christ, and not a building. Most people will tell you to go to church, thinking of the building or maybe even just a gathering of people, because of Hebrews 10:25. The reason for that Scripture is the verse right after it:

Hebrews 10:26 – For if we sin willfully (as opposed to sins committed inconsiderately, and from ignorance or from weakness) after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins. ~ Note: The phrase there no longer remains means that they did once have the sacrifice for sins. So this is about former Christians. This next Scripture also proves it, because it shows the person was sanctified by the blood of Jesus Christ. But it implies a worse punishment because of falling back into sin.

Hebrews 10:29 – Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified (note: this person was saved, see, he had been sanctified) a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? ~ Note: It’s a much worse punishment for the backslider who does not repent. You will see that in 2 Peter 2:20,21. The word for thought worthy also means deserving. The word for trample… underfoot also means to treat with rudeness and insult, to spurn, treat with insulting neglect. So don’t insult and neglect Christ, who set you free from the ******* of sin, by willfully sinning again; or else you will deserve to have a worse punishment.

So weak Christians need to be in church so that they don’t start sinning willfully, but strong in the Lord Christians need to be out preaching in public to get people saved.

Because they’re willing to go “all the way,” keep the commandments and follow whatever truth is revealed to them, they live way healthier lives and have a great peace from understanding the prophecies about what’s up for us next on this planet. Quiet, healthy, savvy, that’s the kind of people you find there.

I don’t and haven’t been to church in a very very long time, but I still and always will believe in God.

I don’t necessarily believe that a person has to go to church in order to worship God.

Church of the Brethren. Why? Because they preach God’s Word and focus upon peace, reconciliation, and working with people out in the community.

Other denominations tend to preach sociological messages, focus too much upon entertainment within worship services, and not reach out to people who are in need of help. They also have been tending towards not focusing everyones’ attention upon Christ.

    I belong to Christ Jesus.

I currently attend a Southern Baptist associated church. No church is perfect. I am where God wants me at this time in my life. He may lead me to another church in the future. I trust in Him.

John 10:27-29 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. (28) I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. (29) My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.

I attend (and am a member of) the local United Methodist Church. I go there because I was greatly in influenced by a certain Methodist Chaplain when I was in the Army, and also because it’s close to my home.

As to my feelings on other churches in the area, I think they’re GREAT! There are many different denominations in our area, and most of them have strong congregations doing The Lord’s work here in Southern Ohio. Many of our area churches network on things like food drives or homeless shelters or taking care of needy families. This is a great area to be a Christian… except that almost everyone here (except for me) is a HUGE Ohio State Buckeye fan…and I can’t stand those nuts! =)
